The Catholic Worker is a community inspired by the example of Dorothy Day, and composed primarily of young adults. We feed and shelter the homeless, practice the works of mercy, and oppose the works of war. Please join us in these efforts through the following ways:
Our Lady of the Road
744 South Main St, South Bend
Volunteer at our daytime drop-in center, which supplies meals, laundry services, showers, and clothing to the local homeless as well as to many people dealing with housing instability and food insecurity. Join us on any Friday or Saturday morning between 8-11:30am or Sunday morning between 8-10am to serve breakfast, provide hospitality, clean up, or donate food, clothing, and supplies.
515 South Saint Joseph St, South Bend
Join us for a potluck dinner at our overnight housing on any Thursday evening at 6:30pm. Bring a dish to share or just come. Arrive early at 4pm if you would like to help prepare the dinner. We would love to have you!
