Presenter: Fr. Joseph Riordan, SJ


Fr Joseph Riordan SJFr. Joseph Riordan, SJ was born in New York City in 1976. He grew up in New Jersey and entered the Jesuits after college. As part of his formation, he studied philosophy and theology and taught classics at a Jesuit high school in New Jersey. After his ordination as a priest in 2009, he completed a degree at the Pontifical Biblical Institute in Rome. He is currently working on a doctorate in Old Testament at the University of Notre Dame.

Theme: Roll Away the Stone
Presenter: Fr. Aaron Pidel, SJ


Lent is a time when Christians are called to "strip away" the interior and exterior excesses of our lives and simplify. But what are those obstacles that stand in our way? How are we called to detach ourselves from those things that keep us from answering Jesus' call to new life in relationship with him?


Fr Aaron Pidel SJFr. Aaron Pidel, SJ grew up in Augusta, Georgia before attending college at Franciscan University of Steubenville. He entered the Society of Jesus (Jesuits) religious order in 2000 and was ordained a priest in 2011. Father Aaron holds a Master of Divinity degree and a Licentiate in Sacred Theology, both from Boston College. He is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Systematic Theology at the University of Notre Dame.

Presenter: Fr. Peter Rocca, CSC

The Vatican recently announced that Pope John Paul II will soon be officially canonized as a saint. Who can be a saint? In what ways can the communion of saints enrich our daily lives? How can we establish relationships with the saints that extend beyond merely finding lost items or selling a house? Learn how to embrace the saints more fully as we journey together.


Fr Peter Rocca CSCFr. Peter Rocca, CSC is the Rector for the Basilica of the Sacred Heart at the University of Notre Dame and an Associate Director for Liturgy within the Office of Campus Ministry. He also serves as the General Editor of Paulist Press Ordo, the Director of Liturgy for the United States Province of the Congregation of Holy Cross, and regularly prepares the annual liturgical calendar for the United States Bishops' Committee on Divine Worship. Fr. Rocca holds a master's degree in Theology from Notre Dame and master's degrees in liturgical music and liturgical studies from the Catholic University of America.
