Annual Bishop Retreat

BishopRetPic2

Every year Campus/Young Adult Ministry hosts a weekend where young adults can draw aside from the demands of everyday life and spend time with God, seeking His wisdom in their life.

It is a time of listening to dynamic talks, experiencing the sacraments, asking the Bishop questions, gathering with friends, making new ones, having fun and simply allowing God to refresh one’s body, soul, and spirit.

In the past young adults have enjoyed wonderful accommodations and food on a lakefront setting. Since the bishop considers this time special, he helps to keep the costs affordable to those interested in attending.

April 9-11, 2010 will be our next one, so mark your calendar.

***BE SURE TO KEEP IN TOUCH WITH YOUR LOCAL CAMPUS/YA INISTER OR LEADER FOR MORE INFORMATION.

The comments below are from former young adult retreats.  These comments can give you an idea of the content and structure of our annual retreat.  Single and married, Hispanic and Anglo, male and female, college students and parish young adults all come to this retreat.  We even have had babies!  What a wonderful mix!

—”It is so wonderful tobe able to get together with other people of the same age and talk about God.
It strengthened my faith and helped me to get closer to God.”

—”This was my first retreat and it was awesome!  I will be back!”

—”God really touched my life through the messages and especially through the Bishop.
I felt very welcome and loved even though I am not Catholic.”

—”This was my first retreat and I wasn’t sure what to expect.  You have far exceeded anything I imagined it would be.” BishopRetPic3
