'The Church by her very  nature is missionary.' (Second Vatican Council) Introduction We are called to bring the gospel of Christ to everyone and work so that this gospel permeates our world. Sharing the good news of the gospel starts with each one of us right where we are in the present. Each of us are called to dedicate ourselves to the building of God's kingdom. Because of the unselfish response of good followers of our Lord we have a strong diocese established and growing in the Fort Wayne-South Bend area. The generosity of people in this diocese has helped us strive every day to be a Church that is truly missionary. The Development Office was founded on June 1, 1993. Since then, numerous fundraising programs have evolved. All of them are aimed at fostering the unselfish generosity that always has been so evident among our diocesan family.
