WELCOME
We would like to extend a warm welcome to all of you as you visit our diocesan web site. The Diocese of Fort Wayne–South Bend is home to 44 Catholic schools. There are over 13,000 students and 900 teachers in our schools. As a diocese, we have four high schools and forty elementary schools. Two high schools are located in South Bend and another two call Fort Wayne their home.

Superintendent

Our teachers and administrators have made a strong commitment to Catholic education by supporting and continuing to teach the morals, values, and Catholic teaching that the students’ parents have instilled in their children. We are very blessed that Bishop John M. D’Arcy is so supportive and committed to the education of our students. He works closely with the high schools and has established Council of Teachers so the needs of the teachers can be addressed, and, if necessary, change can take place.

The mission statement of our office is to see that every school in our diocese will teach the teachings of the Catholic Church and ensure academic success for all students.

Please feel free to contact our office with any questions you may have.

Rev. Stephen Kempinger, CSC
Superintendent
