A Catholic Tour of St. Joseph Cemetery
MISHAWAKA — St. Joseph Church will sponsor "A Catholic Tour of St. Joseph Cemetery" at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 5. The tour, led by Pete De Kever, will explain the cemetery's history and visit 13 prominent graves. St. Joseph Cemetery is located at the southeast corner of Liberty Drive and Jefferson Boulevard. The tour will last one hour, and there is no cost to participate. In case of rain, August 12 will be the alternate date.
Christ Child Society of South Bend 70th Anniversary Brunch and Open House

Saint Pius X Flyin' Lion 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk
GRANGER — Saint Pius X Church is excited to announce The Second Annual Flyin’ Lion 5K! This event features a chip-timed 5K Race and a 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk, as well as post-race celebrations. This year's race will support the teens and young adults from Saint Pius X Church who will travel to participate in World Youth Day in 2019. Queen of Peace PeaceFest 2017
MISHAWAKA — Queen of Peace is having their annual celebration of the Queenship of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The Festival will run on Saturday, August 26th from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. with many events: craft show, classic car show, huge rummage sale, kids games, food vendors, piggy raffle, petting zoo, trivia night and many other activities! The weekend will end with a Mass at 10:30 with Bishop Rhoades, on Sunday, August 27th, followed by a lunch served by the Knights of Columbus and their spouses. FORT WAYNE and MISHAWAKA — The sacraments unit of the Education for Ministry Basic Certification Program will introduce the Catholic understanding of sacrament and the Scriptural basis, theology, and effects of each of the Seven Sacraments. The Sacramental Economy as an interaction between God and the truth that sacrament is a moment of grace leading toward God are the foundations of this unit. Class will be held on Thursday evenings August 24 and 31; September 14 and 21 from 6:00 p.m.-8:30 p.m. In Fort Wayne the Archbishop Noll Catholic Center will host the class. Rembrandt's Religious Prints: The Feddersen Collection
NOTRE DAME — The Snite Museum of Art on the campus of the University of Notre Dame presents "Rembrandt's Religious Prints: The Feddersen Collection," an exhibition of 70 prints exploring the sweep of historical, theological, and artistic impulses that informed the Dutch seventeenth-century master printmaker’s religious and biblical prints. FORT WAYNE and MISHAWAKA — This prayer of the Education for Ministry Basic Certification Program will introduce the Church's teaching on prayer and provide tools for growth in personal prayer. The nature of prayers as spiritual work that opens the mind and heart to faith will be addressed along with different forms of prayer used by the Church. A portion of this course will be spent on the depths of the Lord's Prayer.
