As Christian stewards, we share the responsibilities of providing for the needs of the Church. Through our gifts, the Church proclaims the good news of the incarnation of Christ Jesus, celebrates sacraments, and provides formation and education, ministries and charities.
Planned giving affords creative opportunities to support the work of your parish, Catholic school, or other Catholic organization, and help secure the future of our faith, while helping you meet your charitable giving goals. There are many ways you can provide for the needs of the Church in the Diocese of Fort Wayne-South Bend, helping the Church remain strong for generations to come.
The most popular planned gift is a bequest left in your will. The specific asset varies from person to person. You can leave the church anything of value such as land, home, collectibles, or stock. Typically donors will leave a specific amount of cash as the last step of stewardship. It is also possible to leave a percentage, or the remainder, of your assets. Of course, there are tax benefits as well as the peace of mind of knowing that you have supported your parish, school, or even the Diocese of Fort Wayne-South Bend.
