SVDP operates emergency programs for food, clothing and furniture and financial assistance. In addition they offer financial counseling, job search and resume building, a Micro-Loan program, Bridges Out of Poverty "Getting Aheadâ€ classes, the Food for Thought Afterschool program and financial literacy courses. Profits from the three Thrift Stores are reinvested into the programs of the District Council.
