Fort Wayne - Our March Catholic Business Network Meeting, will be held on Friday, March 3rd, the First Friday of the month. On that date, we are looking forward to having Bishop Kevin C. Rhoades as our guest speaker. Bishop Rhoades was appointed the Ninth Bishop of the Diocese of Fort Wayne – South Bend on November 14, 2009, by Pope Benedict XVI, and installed on January 13, 2010, in the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Bishop Rhoades will be speaking on the topic of: “Remembering Our Persecuted Brothers and Sisters During Lent”
Our March sponsor will be Today’s Catholic, a Catholic news service dedicated to presenting important news, articles and information to the parishioners of the Fort Wayne / South Bend Diocese. We will begin with mass in the Guerin Chapel at 7:00 A.M. and then gather in the Cathedral Center at 7:30 A.M. for networking, fellowship and camaraderie. Fr. Solanus Casey Vocation Society meeting
Fort Wayne - The next Fr. Solanus Casey Vocation Society meeting is March 3, 2017 at St. Joseph Hospital, Ft. Wayne. Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 in the hospital chapel followed by lunch and our guest speaker will be Joseph Ryan, Chief Financial Officer for the FWSB diocese.
The Light Is On for You
This year in parishes across the Diocese of Fort Wayne-South Bend, the Sacrament of Reconciliation and time for prayer will be held on Tuesday, March 14th from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Consider making a commitment this Lent to join the Church in praying for an abundance of the healing grace of God’s forgiveness and love. Diocesan Liturgical Trainings
The Diocese is offering a Lector Training Workshop on Saturday, March 4, 9:00am at Saint Jude Church in South Bend. The workshop is open to both new and current lectors, and includes prayerful discussion, tips on best practices, plus a chance for practice and critique. It should conclude around noon or shortly after. St. Jude is located at 19704 Johnson Rd. The workshop will begin in the conference room, through school door #1. Fort Wayne | South Bend - This two day conference, hosted at St. Monica Catholic Church in Mishawaka and St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Fort Wayne, will bring together speakers who are leaders in the New Evangelization to provide inspiration, encouragement, training, practical wisdom and resources on how Catholics can effectively evangelize. All Catholics – pastors, missionaries, lay ministers, and the lay faithful – are invited to this powerful opportunity to be further equipped in the fundamental mission of the Church.
