Catholic Business Network Breakfast Meet & Greet

FORT WAYNE —  Join the Catholic Business Network for a breakfast Meet & Greet on Friday, August 4th! Learn about The Brand New Today’s Catholic Experience: Evangelizing Beyond the Pages. Mass is at 7 a.m. at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception Chapel. Breakfast and our speaker will follow at 8 a.m. in the Cathedral Center. This event is free, and all are welcome!


Building Inclusive Parishes hosts first South Bend area meeting

SOUTH BEND — The South Bend "Chapter" of Building Inclusive Parishes (BIP) will hold its first meeting on Monday, August 14, 2017 at 6:30p.m. at St. Jude Catholic Church, 19704 Johnson Road South Bend, IN 46614.  The location is handicap accessible.  Please enter through Door #13. Building Inclusive Parishes seeks to be inclusive of all individuals with disabilities or special needs and help them know that they are welcomed, accepted, and necessary in contributing their gifts to our parish life. Theology on Tap Summer Series: 

Shaping a Changing World

GRANGER — This 4-week series consisting of 3 weeks of Catholic speakers followed by a social event is returning to St. Joseph County! This event is open to all young adults in their 20s and 30s, single and married. Remaining session dates are August 1 & 8. This summer's theme is Shaping a Changing World.  Aug 1 – Environmental Stewardship – Tim Ruggaber | Aug 8 – Summer Mass & Cookout! – Msgr. Michael Heintz (at St. Patrick's County Park)


Education for Ministry: Sacraments

FORT WAYNE and MISHAWAKA — The sacraments unit of the Education for Ministry Basic Certification Program will introduce the Catholic understanding of sacrament and the Scriptural basis, theology, and effects of each of the Seven Sacraments.  The Sacramental Economy as an interaction between God and the truth that sacrament is a moment of grace leading toward God are the foundations of this unit.  Class will be held on Thursday evenings August 24 and 31September 14 and 21 from 6:00 p.m.-8:30 p.m.  In Fort Wayne the Archbishop Noll Catholic Center will host the class.  In the South Bend area the St. John Paul II Center, Mishawaka will host the class. Education for Ministry: Prayer

FORT WAYNE and MISHAWAKA — This prayer of the Education for Ministry Basic Certification Program will introduce the Church's teaching on prayer and provide tools for growth in personal prayer.  The nature of prayers as spiritual work that opens the mind and heart to faith will be addressed along with different forms of prayer used by the Church.  A portion of this course will be spent on the depths of the Lord's Prayer. Class will be held on Thursday evenings October 5, 12, 19, and 26 from 6:00 p.m.-8:30 p.m. In the Fort Wayne area the Archbishop Noll Catholic Center will host the class.  In the South Bend area the St. John Paul II Center, Mishawaka will host the class. Education for Ministry: Morality  

FORT WAYNE and MISHAWAKA — This morality of the Education for Ministry Basic Certification Program will present the foundation of Catholic moral teaching with a strong emphasis on morality as a way of life that considers how the human person was created as well as a choice to live according to the Gospel as an act of love in response to God.  Instead of approaching morality as a list of "thou shalt nots", this unit will focus on the notion that living according to God's law brings freedom and joy.Class will be held on Thursday evenings November 9, 16, and 30; December 7 from 6:00 p.m.-8:30 p.m.In the Fort Wayne area the Archbishop Noll Catholic Center will host the class.  In the South Bend area the St. John Paul II Center, Mishawaka will host the class.To register please visit www.diocesefwsb.org/Education-for-Ministry-Program by Thursday, November 2 or when the first 40 participants have registered.For more information, contact Janice Martin: jmartin@diocesefwsb.org | 260-399-1411
