New exhibit on display:  Vessels of Veneration

FORT WAYNE — The Cathedral Museum announces a ongoing new exhibit titled “Vessels of Veneration” which includes the monstrances from the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, St. Mary Mother of God, St. Peter and St. Patrick, Fort Wayne. Free admission in the garden level of the Archbishop Noll Catholic Center, 915 S. Clinton St., 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday through Friday. Free parking in the Noll Center parking garage.

Knight of Farewell and Fun for the Class of 2017

FORT WAYNE — The Alumni Board of Bishop Luers High School invites the Class of 2017 to attend “A Knight of Farewell and Fun” on Tuesday, Aug. 1, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. in the Bishop Luers High School courtyard. Activities include a corn hole tournament at 7 p.m. The Knight of Farewell is an opportunity for seniors to say goodbye to their classmates, exchange emails and new addresses and make plans to return for Homecoming on Sept. 22. Bishop Luers Show Choir Camp offered Aug. 1-4

FORT WAYNE, Indiana – Bishop Luers High School will host its popular Show Choir Camp for children in pre-kindergarten through eighth grade from Aug. 1-4, 9-11:30 a.m. A Friday family performance will be at 11 a.m. followed by a picnic lunch. Cost is $50 and includes a show choir camp T-shirt, music, dance, friendship and fun. FORT WAYNE — The Bishop Luers High School 2017 Annual Golf Outing is set Saturday, Aug. 19, at Brookwood Golf Course in Fort Wayne.Proceeds benefit Bishop Luers’ scholarships and tuition assistance. Education for Ministry: Sacraments

FORT WAYNE and MISHAWAKA — The sacraments unit of the Education for Ministry Basic Certification Program will introduce the Catholic understanding of sacrament and the Scriptural basis, theology, and effects of each of the Seven Sacraments.  The Sacramental Economy as an interaction between God and the truth that sacrament is a moment of grace leading toward God are the foundations of this unit.  Class will be held on Thursday evenings August 24 and 31September 14 and 21 from 6:00 p.m.-8:30 p.m.  In Fort Wayne the Archbishop Noll Catholic Center will host the class.  In the South Bend area the St. John Paul II Center, Mishawaka will host the class. Padre Pio Pilgrimage

FORT WAYNE — The ABBA House will have a pilgrimage to the Cathedral of Mary of the Assumption in Saginaw, Michigan on September 29, 2017 to view the relics of Saint Pio that will be touring in the United States with the Padre Pio Foundation. Education for Ministry: Prayer

FORT WAYNE and MISHAWAKA — This prayer of the Education for Ministry Basic Certification Program will introduce the Church's teaching on prayer and provide tools for growth in personal prayer.  The nature of prayers as spiritual work that opens the mind and heart to faith will be addressed along with different forms of prayer used by the Church.  A portion of this course will be spent on the depths of the Lord's Prayer. Medicine Cabinet Donations Needed

The Franciscan Center is in dire need of donated health, wellness and hygiene products for the Medicine Cabinet program!  We are most in need of new/unopened:  toothpaste, shampoo, deodorant, lotion, bar soap, razors, baby wipes, pain aids, and cold medicine.  However, any type of hygiene/wellness products are greatly appreciated!  Items can be dropped off at the center:  1015 E. Maplegrove Avenue or at our Thrift Store:  925 E.
